| Summary, etc. | Este libro es una valiosa contribución al conocimiento de como le saber medico académico en el Perú de la primera mitad del siglo XIX se organizo, se empezó a producir y se relaciono a la emergencia de una profesión y de una practica higiénica.<br/>Es decir esta investigación no ayuda a comprender en primer lugar como la educación medica académica fue un recurso fundamental en el proceso de construcción de una importante profesión civil cuyos miembros buscaron el ascenso, el prestigio y la estabilidad social en una época marcada por el predominio y militares de religiosos en el gobierno y la jerarquia social. |
