| Summary, etc. | Análisis y diseño de estructuras trata el tema de las estructuras en edificios, abarcando desde los conceptos fundamentales, pasando por la mecánica elemental aplicada y las consideraciones prácticas en cuanto a materiales y sistemas básicos, hasta la consideración pragmática de algunos ejemplos de diseño reales para edificios con forma y uso específicos. El libro se encuentra estructurado en 9 partes y 61 capítulos, las partes 1 y 2, muestran un análisis general de las estructuras y un estudio básico sobre temas de mecánica aplicada, resistencia de materiales y análisis estructural elemental. Las partes 3 a 6, trata los materiales para la construcción de estructuras, la parte 7, un estudio sobre mecánica de suelos y diseño de elementos simples de cimentación, la parte 8 ofrece un desarrollo general de los problemas relacionados con los efectos del viento y los sismos, por último, la parte 9 contiene ejemplos ilustrativos del desarrollo de sistemas estructurales para edificios que abarcan desde la planificación preliminar hasta el detallado e la construcción.
