| Summary, etc. | El presente trabajo tiene el propósito de analizar las relaciones fronterizas en curso y sus perspectivas futuras, entre Tacna (Perú) y Arica (Chile), en el marco de la actual naturaleza de las fronteras que ha evolucionado, de ser consideradas como líneas artificiales que separan a los países, hasta convertirse en áreas de encuentro, intercambio y flujos entre países vecinos; es decir, espacios de cooperación, contacto, aproximación bilateral y beneficios recíprocos, sin menoscabo de los legítimos y soberanos intereses de cada nación. En tal virtud, se identifican y explican las limitaciones y potencialidades para la integración existentes, en el contexto de las relaciones nacionales bilaterales y, al mismo tiempo, se plantean objetivos, estrategias, acciones y proyectos que deben ser parte de un Programa de Integración Fronteriza, que conduzca al fortalecimiento de las relaciones entre ambas zonas fronterizas y que contribuyan a allanar el camino hacia una vecindad pacífica y promotora de desarrollo y bienestar para sus respectivas poblaciones. |
