Summary, etc.	La renovación educativa de orientación constructivista que está teniendo lugar en los últimos años se ha basado, entre otros pilares, en la teoría del currículum, y en las investigaciones cognitivas sobre el aprendizaje y desarrollo. Sin embargo, y a pesar de su cercanía, ambos enfoques han mantenido hasta la fecha una escasa interacción, como a veces sucede entre los trabajos psicológicos y pedagógicos. Precisamente con el fin de fomentar esta convergencia, la Asociación para la Supervisión de Currículum de Estados unidos encargó la realización de esta compilación. La propia elección de los compiladores, así como la de los distintos autores, refleja la preocupación de mantener como corolario fundamental una posición equilibrada e intermedia entre enseñar a pensar o enseñar contenidos.
