Summary, etc.	La preocupación por el desarrollo moral del alumnado y por la Educación en Valores arranca ya de varios años atrás.<br/>Desde entonces, y hasta el momento actual, muchas han sido las aportaciones relativas tanto a la reflexión como a la concreción curricular que han ido configurando un amplio y sugerente dominio bibliográfico, facilitando así la tarea de educadores y educadoras en este ámbito del desarrollo humano. A este amplio dominio viene a sumarse ahora la presente obra.<br/>Educación en Valores para una sociedad abierta y plural: Aproximación conceptual, se sitúa entre las obras de fundamentación teórica, aunque apunta también ciertas consideraciones generales que orientan la aplicación de programas contextuales de desarrollo moral y educación en valores. Cuatro son los ámbitos de conocimiento a los que se aproxima: sociológico, filosófico, psicológico y pedagógico-educativo, aunque haya que situar la finalidad que preside la obra en el último de los citados. Desde la mera aproximación, desde la simple introducción a las grandes cuestiones del tema que nos ocupa, se intenta colaborar con la optimización de la realidad educativa ofreciendo a educadoras y educadores una guía conceptual, una síntesis teórica que, en sus manos, tendrá la posibilidad de convertirse en instrumento de concreción curricular e innovación educativa.
