| Summary, etc. | Las Relaciones Internacionales constituyen una disciplina académica relativamente joven que, después de la primera guerra Mundial, logra emanciparse finalmente de otras ciencias sociales tradicionales como el derecho, la historia y la ciencia política. El nuevo campo de estudio surge como consecuencia de la necesidad de explicar el fenómeno de la guerra y de encontrar mecanismos para construir un orden internacional mas pacifico. No obstante, a lo largo de estos poco mas de ochenta años transcurridos, la disciplina ha conocido un avance teórico significativo, el cual se manifiesta en el desarrollo de tres grandes perspectivas o lineas de pensamiento que han servido de guía para la conducción de la política exterior de los estados y que intentan explicar la naturaleza de la interacción entre los distintos agentes que conforman el sistema internacional: el realismo, el liberalismo y el extructuralismo. |
