Summary, etc.	La discusión sobre la política en el Perú no tiene sentido si no se investigan con seriedad las corrientes y preocupaciones filosóficas que han aparecido en nuestro país. Este libro es un intento de estudiar las ideas filosóficas propuestas por nuestros principales pensadores políticos del siglo xx. Esta época quizá represente el mejor momento para advertir una fineza intelectual pocas veces vista en nuestra comprensión de la actividad filosófica y política. La obra de Víctor Andrés Belaunde es muestra de una de las mejores síntesis construidas a partir de la reflexión filosófica de la tradición y la investigación sobre el Perú. De la misma manera, la obra de José Carlos Mariátegui representa también un punto de vista y una interpretación social del país construida con materiales de la tradición socialista, la filosofía vitalista y la estética reinantes en su época. Por último, el pensamiento y la actividad política de Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre deben observarse a partir del intento de construir desde principios del siglo xx una voluntad política organizada que tenga su base en la dialéctica hegeliana y las tendencias vitalistas que surgen a partir de la teoría de la relatividad. Los peruanos han sido y son hoy, políticamente hablando, apristas, socialistas y socialcristianos en su inmensa mayoría. Conviene, pues, una reflexión desapasionada que permita una aproximación profunda de una época y de tres autores que es necesario asumir, sopesar e integrar como parte de la experiencia política que hemos vivido los peruanos.
