| Summary, etc. | La hidráulica es una rama de la mecánica de fluidos y ampliamente presente en la ingeniería que se encarga del estudio de las propiedades mecánicas de los líquidos. Todo esto depende de las fuerzas que se interponen con la masa y a las condiciones a que esté sometido el fluido, relacionadas con la viscosidad de este. El funcionamiento básico consiste en aprovechar la energía cinética del agua almacenada, de modo que accione las turbinas hidráulicas. Para aprovechar mejor el agua llevada por los ríos, se construyen presas para regular el caudal en función de la época del año. La presa sirve también para aumentar el salto y así mejorar su aprovechamiento. |
