| Summary, etc. | Este libro aborda la historia del diseño industrial desde sus orígenes a nuestros días. En sus capítulos asistimos al nacimiento, desarrollo y consolidación del diseño industrial en los diversos países en los que se ha forjado esta disciplina. Además de atender al estudio particular de los protagonistas, los diseñadores y sus obras, se analizan desde una perspectiva global los aspectos sociales, los desafíos tecnológicos, las tendencias estilísticas, los principales centros de enseñanza y los fundamentos teóricos que han presidido su actividad en cada momento histórico. Se incluyen polémicas clásicas como la tensión (o el equilibrio) entre las dimensiones funcional y formal del producto, pero también se tienen en cuenta cuestiones fundamentales como el compromiso ético, o se atiende a retos actuales como los que plantea el ecodiseño. |
