Apartir de la edad Moderna, las corrientes filosóficas de los pensadores los ingleses sean caracterizado por unos planteamientos y desarrollos propios que les distinguen de las corrientes continentales, a pesar de que en ciertos momentos cruciales las relaciones ente ambas direcciones han tenido consecuencias de gran valor teórico. El autor estudia en primer lugar el empirismo desde los utilitaristas hasta los evolucionistas y positivistas. Le sigue una exposición del idealismo británico y norteamericano y del movimiento pragmatista.<br/> |
