| Summary, etc. | En los últimos 10 años, pese a los numerosos compromisos con el medio ambiente por parte de los gobiernos nacionales y la comunidad internacional, se ha visto un grave deterioro de la salud del planeta. Los desastres naturales catastróficos como el aumento en el nivel del mar a un ritmo veloz, el aumento de la contaminación del aire, el acceso cada vez más reducido al agua potable y las elevadas tasas de extinción, contribuyen a que el mundo sea un hábitat cada vez menos saludable. A pesar de la existencia de un cuerpo sustancial de leyes nacionales, regionales e internacionales que procuran abordar estas cuestiones medioambientales cruciales, todavía está por registrarse un avance global sistemático, especialmente el que concierne a la participación de las mujeres y la transversalización de género [1].<br/> |
