No les guía simplemente el afán del recopilador, sino el propósito de la medicina popular, para lograr una ciencia autónoma generada en nuestro pais. Se dan cuenta y perciben que este propósito solo es posible si se comienza de las un vigentes tradiciones que viene del Tawantinsuyo. Es la misma actitud que hoy en día tienen otros científicos que buscan reactualizar la tecnología agrícola o ganadera que se utilizaba en los Andes al momento de la invasión española.
