| Summary, etc. | En los primeros lustros del siglo XX detecta y lamenta Max Weber el inicio de una confiada certidumbre que la "intelectualización" y la "racionalización" permitirían a la humanidad llegar a saberlo todo acerca de la realidad, si en ello pusiese su empeño: "Mas eso significa: el desencantamiento del mundo." (Weber 1994). No habría, en principio, fuerzas ocultas e imprevisibles que impidiesen someter la realidad a cálculo y dominio hasta no dejar residuos ignotos. Sin embargo, no estando Weber dispuesto a traicionar la tradición humanista de Europa, reconoció junto a la razón pragmática o Zweckrationalitát, la persistencia de una razón valórica - Wertrationalitát-. Cosechando del opus weberiano, J. Habermas confirma que el desencantamiento del mundo efectivamente ha ocurrido, a medida que la razón pragmática - utilitarista por antonomasia- coloniza y reduce a la razón comunicativa y sus intentos emancipatorios. |
