En un arco cronológico que va del siglo XVII al XVIII, y en un espacio que abarca desde las ciudades castellanas al mundo rural valenciano, se aborda el consumo de tejidos, las formas del pequeño comercio, el impacto de nuevos productos exóticos como el chocolate y los niveles de vida tanto en el mundo campesino como en los sectores burgueses urbanos. En definitiva, este libro hace más posible una historia del consumo en la península Ibérica y, por tanto, en el conjunto de Europa.<br/><br/>
