En los últimos quince años se han incrementado los proyectos y acciones de desarrollo forestal, basados en la participación comunitaria y en la búsqueda de la autogestión campesina. En los países de la región andina, hombres y mujeres que trabajan en el campo de la forestería social han encontrado razones para sentirse a veces motivados, a veces decepcionados con los resultados alcanzados.<br/>Para disminuir las incertidumbres y calificar de manera objetiva y multidisciplinaria los factores que ayuden al mejoramiento de las actividades de desarrollo forestal participativo, el proyecto FAO - Holanda "Desarrollo Forestal Participativo en los Andes" (DFPA) se ha propuesto validar o sea, comprobar bajo la óptica de los actores la factibilidad técnica, económica, social y ambiental de algunas de estas experiencias. |
