Las bases hidráulicas de las técnicas de riego y avenamiento se plantean y desarrollan con el análisis de corrientes en tuberías y acequias, relaciones de aforo y sistemas de impulsión. Se ha cuidado la presentación formal del estudio de redes a presión y, en particular, el del cálculo de ramales de riego por aspersión y goteo. También se estudian los principios del movimiento del agua en medios porosos, con ejemplos que fijan los principios esenciales de la filtración en saturación y subsaturación.
