Summary, etc.	Este libro es una versión corregida de la tesis de maestría que realicé en la Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires y defendí en el año 2007. La misma trata sobre un enfoque del espacio público degradado de las áreas marginales de la ciudad contemporánea. Este texto es el resultado de un estudio detallado acerca de los procesos de construcción de un espacio público en la escena de la ciudad de Buenos Aires como caso singular de América latina y de sus zonas marginales y de conflicto entre las situaciones habitacionales más precarias. El proceso de recopilación de casos referidos a la vivienda social está relacionado con la manera de apropiación y definición del espacio público inmediato en las diferentes épocas del siglo XX.
