| Summary, etc. | Entre las empresas tecnológicas existe, actualmente, un interés creciente por la Gestión de la Calidad Total TQM, por los principios en los que se basa y por las herramientas que utiliza. Debido a esto, nuevas tendencias en calidad, como es el caso de Lean Management y Seis Sigma, se enarbolan como filosofías de gestión de enorme aceptación y éxito en las empresas tecnológicas. La tendencia a externalizar los servicios TI hacia proveedores especializados despertó, a finales del siglo XX, un fuerte interés entre las agencias del gobierno británico por documentar las mejores prácticas relacionadas con el suministro de servicios de calidad en la gestión de las Tecnologías de la Información, dando lugar a la génesis y desarrollo del modelo ITIL. ITIL supone un enfoque para la gestión de los servicios TI basado en la Calidad de Servicio, concretándose ésta en los llamados Acuerdos de Calidad de Servicio ACS o de Nivel de Servicio SLA. |
